Collecting litter on beach visits and helping marine animals and seabirds in distress are part of Richard’s care for the coast.

A graphic novel with a purpose
The Balance
What if there were surfers in outer space? That question grew into Richard’s science-fiction graphic novel project, bringing together cosmic imagination and concern for our planet.
Through stories of other worlds, The Balance: Stories of a Type II Civilization explores environmental destruction and invites readers to think about the future of our own.
