Meet Richard
Richard Cedano has surfed and taught in Santa Cruz, California, the Canary Islands and his native Peru. His approach combines practical coaching with a personal connection to the ocean and the surfing community.
Origins
How it all started
The story began in California, where Richard spent a decade exploring the waves with his faithful dog, Caesar. Back in Peru, they travelled together in a classic 1964 Kombi T1. After Caesar passed away, Richard continued their journey — sharing surfing and adventure with people from around the world, in Caesar’s memory.

For Richard, caring for the ocean is part of being a surfer. Through Surfers for Science, beach cleanups and care for local wildlife, that commitment reaches beyond the waves.
