Meet Richard Cedano, your seasoned surf instructor with over 20 years of experience in Santa Cruz, California, the Canary Islands in Spain, and his native Peru. With Richard’s expert guidance, you’ll learn to read the waves like a pro and ride them with grace and style. But it’s not just about the skills – Richard’s personal touch and love for the ocean and surfing community will leave you with a deeper connection to the sport. ORIGINS
How it all started
This story began not on the coast of Peru, but rather on the sunny shores of California, where Richard spent a decade exploring the best waves in the constant company of his faithful canine friend, Caesar. They returned home and continued their journeys together in a classic 1964 Kombi T1, so when Caesar passed away Richard vowed to keep his memory alive by continuing their journey and teach surfing to people from all over the world. Join him as you ride the waves, explore new horizons, and create new memories in honor of Caesar’s spirit of adventure.

Preserve Nature
As surfers, we witness firsthand the beauty and power of nature. However, we also see the changes happening – the erosion of beaches along with the destruction and the acidification of the ocean. That’s why Richard, through his environmental blog Surfers for Science, continually fights to preserve the natural world around us, because he understands that the health of the ocean is tied to the health of our sport.
